Learning to tell the time is an important rite of passage for young children, which helps the development of social and behavioural skills such as responsibility, time management and self-dependence.

Many parents find that when children have learned to read a clock they enjoy a greater awareness of the importance of passing time in their everyday lives, from having ‘two minutes to brush their teeth’ to understanding that screen time is 1 hour a day!

Our Clock Tracing Board features:

  • An Analogue clock face with the hours and minutes
  • Digital clock with hours and minutes
  • AM | PM
  • Minutes counting by 5s around the face (encouraging skip-counting) and a stroke representing the minutes in each 5 minute block.
  • O'Clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to, to give an early introduction and understanding of fractions being that the clock is divided into quarters - each being a 15 minute block, making up a full hour.
  • All orders containing one or more tracing boards will come with a complimentary white chalk marker

Grab a chalkboard pen and have your child “set” the clock for different times. Or, do the reverse by setting it and asking them what time it is. Then have them convert that time to digital time in the space provided, and decide if the time of day is AM or PM, always offer hints to help them along and remember learning is meant to be fun so encourage all attempts.

Care Instructions
  • Easy clean up - simply rinse under water and wipe with a microfibre cloth, do not use abrasive cloths or chemicals.
  • Please ensure child is writing on the smooth side, the etching on the reverse side will stain if written on.
  • Your tracing board comes with one white chalk pen
  • We are using coloured chalk markers here, but you can also use Kitpas crayons - both of these can be purchased separately in our online store.

Write away!!

I purchased this for my 3 year old grandson son knowing these shapes would be buildings blocks for his letter writing skills. As a Calligrapher there are foundations strokes that when practiced form a muscle memory to create letters and words. What a fun way to start these basic strokes with the little game of following the feet to the animal. I'm looking forward to our special time together practicing our strokes and maybe one day I'll have a budding little (left handed) calligrapher.. He's already having so much fun.

Learning those shapes fast

My 3 year old grandson spent longer in his drawing corner today with this new writing tool. He's not only learning to trace the lines but also understands the shape he's making. I can see there's going to be lots of fun practicing as he carefully draws the shape along the dashed lines. He rubs it out himself then tries again. So much fun creating, so glad I invested in this educational tool.

Such a great resource!

I was not confident my son could read a clock despite being taught at school. When I saw this board I decided it could help my son learn at his own pace and time at home. He really took to it and instead of being upset about learning how to read a clock he is engaged and excited. I like how it can be laid flat on a table or put up on the stand to display.

It hardly made it out of the box before the fun began!

I purchased the board bundle for my little one who is three and a bit and had started to show an interest in drawing letters, numbers, and shapes.
I hardly managed to get the boards and crayons out of the box before she had started using them! So far she's had fun colouring in the shapes and drawing circles around letters she recognises, and I'm sure it won't be long before she's actually tracing things.
I love that there is both open endedness and structure to this product, and that it has various levels for them to progress through.
The crayons are a tad messy as they easily transfer to hands/clothes, but so far they wash off remarkably well and quickly, and I was amazed at how it just takes water run over them to wash the boards clean.
We also purchased a name board for our youngest (9m) and look forward to enjoying these products with both kids for years to come.

Beautiful Products

Honestly, I was blown away with how nice the products were. They’ll be long lasting which is what I was after and they’re timeless. Perfect for children and in my opinion; a fun, interactive learning experience.
