Australian Tea Towel - Chickens

This chicken tea towel makes a unique and lovely addition to any modern or traditional kitchen. Our tea towels are brought to life with Bandicute’s hand carved stamps for a truly one of a kind gift. But don’t restrict your tea towels to drying dishes. Use your hand printed tea towel to keep fresh scones and slices warm, to line baskets or trays or as a placemat. There’s also a fabric loop in the corner for hanging. Each tea towel measures approximately 50 x 70 cms. The tea towels are made in Australia by our seamstresses based in Sydney NSW, then printed by Ellen and Jess in our Gunning studio.

The fabric is a beautiful medium weight (288gsm) organic hemp/cotton blend. Printed with an environmentally friendly fabric ink, these tea towels wash well time after time and soften the more they are used.

NSW Hen Rescue

NSW Hen Rescue, founded in 2010, is a small volunteer run organisation dedicated to rescuing hens and other factory farmed animals from situations of exploitation and abuse. Their focus is on caged hens, living a life where they are unable to stretch their wings or even get any sunlight. They are often debeaked as chicks and hugely stressed. NSW Hen Rescue has a sanctuary in Hornsby NSW where special needs chickens have a permanent home, as well as several volunteer foster carers who nurse the rescued chickens back to life when they can be rehomed. Bandicute is proud to be supporting NSW Hen Rescue by donating $2 from every chicken item sold.
