We've had so much interest in these beautiful decorations, and it's little wonder! We thought you might like to have a read through some of the questions we've been receiving in case you've been wondering about it yourself.

1. How does it work?

The process is super easy! SOrders open on 1 October and will be available for one week only.

Simply upload your image and place your order.

Please make sure drawings are done in black felt tip marker on a white background (unlined paper). The higher the contrast of the drawing, the easier it will be for us to create your ornament, and the better the result will be. See the photo above for reference.

2. I have a drawing already but I'm not sure if it's suitable?

If you have a drawing you love but you are wondering if it's suitable for us to use, please email it to us at hello@bandicute.com.au so we can assist you.

3. I'm having trouble getting my child to draw a picture

Try giving them a smaller piece of paper! When we did this with our kids, we found giving them an A4 piece of paper made it difficult for them to understand the brief - they would fill up the whole page and draw the whole scene rather than something compact that was suitable for an ornament. So we cut them a smaller piece of paper about 15 x 15cm for them to draw in and it worked a treat.

4. Can I get a bulk discount for multiple children?

We offer bundles for multiples of THE SAME ornament (image) only.

This is because the cost includes our time to convert your artwork to a digital file in addition to the cost of materials and making the ornament. This is the most time consuming part of the process, so if we were to discount the cost of a single ornament any further we would soon be out of business!

We are able to offer the discount on bundles of the same ornament because the process of converting your image into a file ready for engraving and cutting only occurs once. That is, once we have created your file, there is no extra time cost for the design process for more ornaments that are exactly the same.

If you are a teacher or educator and would like to do this for your classroom we are happy to offer a small educator discount for orders over a certain volume, please contact us for more information.

5. When will I receive my order?

Orders will close on October 7 after which time we'll get busy making your ornaments. The time we need will depend on how many orders we receive. However we anticipate a 3-4 week turnaround time meaning your order will be sent out in early November. In plenty of time to gift to the teachers!

6. What if my child can't draw yet?

Even the tiniest scribbles are precious! They tell the story of your child’s creativity and make a keepsake you’ll treasure as you watch their progress year after year. And if your little one isn’t ready to hold a marker just yet, we’ve got you covered with our sweet baby handprint ornament.

Have you got a question we haven't answered here? You are always welcome to contact us so we can assist you.
